Greetings! My name is Rithik Tangella, I am currently a highschool student in 11th grade, and I attend Lovejoy Highscool. Ever since I was little I learned the power of education and privelege. My parents are immigrants from India that were born with close to nothing. I recall my father explaining to me how he borrowed books from wealthy students to study, and when power outtages occured at his small house, he had to walk barefeet to a street lamp and study under it. This stark reality hit me, as I realized the hardships my parents went through to achieve success and provide for me and my siblings. I realized that at the core of all this success and triumph, was his foundation of education. I remember my father telling me that in this world the only three things that will stick with you until the end of time is family, value, and education. With this in mind, I took the initiative to spread this awareness by providing free tutoring to my fellow students in my highschool. I started a club named "Leopard Tutoring", that provides any student of any age free tutoring in any subject. I started by myself, tutoring weekly in precalculus and AP world history. Also by hosting essay sessions before school on writing a Data Based Essays and Quadratic Transformations. I was shocked by the immensity of the response by students. Each session was filled with students eager to learn. With this foundation, I expanded by club by adding qualified tutors in each subject to teach students, and now we proudly have over 10 tutors that tutor over 30 students and counting. I then thought to myself, "what can I do on the global scale?How can I help make a lasting change in the world?". With those words I started EducationForACause. We aim to establish a nonprofit school in India, that can tutor any student regardless of their financial or social standing. I vision a world of equality, where any person can get a free education to raise their quality of life. With this in mind, EducationForACause was born. "
